The Surrey Sustainable Energy and Engineering Building (SE3P) site is 52,710 square feet with construction costs valued at approximately $116,000,000. This building will house Mechatronics labs for 320 undergraduate engineering students and 120 graduate students. The entire construction team is targeting LEED Gold certification and plan to accomplish this through strict adherence to LEED requirements throughout the entire construction process. B&B performed all excavation and shoring works for this project. This included bulk excavation, detailed excavation, installing shotcrete shoring and soil anchors, under slab fill, backfill, and secant piles.

The entire construction team is targeting LEED Gold certification and plan to accomplish this through strict adherence to LEED requirements throughout the entire construction process. B&B performed all excavation and shoring works for phases 1a and 1b of this project. This included bulk excavation, detailed excavation, installing shotcrete shoring and soil anchors, under slab fill, backfill, and secant piles.

Project Description:

The Guildford Aquatic Centre is an expansion to the existing Guildford Recreation Centre. The new Aquatic Centre is a recreation and therapeutic aquatic destination, providing training opportunities for swimming, water polo, and other aquatic sports as well as the capacity to host competitive swimming events. The unique architectural and urban design features of the aquatic centre provide the community of Guildford with a world class facility. B&B provided the onsite and offsite civil works, bulk and detail excavation, erosion and sediment control, and the shoring for the Guildford Aquatic Centre.
