Worker Safety Is Of Paramount Importance
The management of B&B Contracting Group is consciously committed to providing a safe and healthy environment in which employees may work safely without fear of accident or injury. All B&B’s Health and Safety programs will be applied in each operating division.
These are:
- Pipe
- Roads
- Deficiencies – Hydro Tel
- Bulk Excavations
It will be the duty of superintendents/foreman in each operating division to ensure that all personnel are aware of applicable safety regulations and procedures and conduct themselves accordingly for the well-being of the individual and the Company. The superintendent/foreman will ensure all workers are effectively supervised in the day-to-day work and the work is completed in accordance with the provisions of this program.
All workers have a duty to be aware of and to work safely at all times so as to prevent accidents to themselves, other workers, equipment and property. All employees are expected to report all unsafe conditions or work behaviours immediately.
Subcontractors and owner operators have an obligation to work safely in accordance with WorkSafeBC Occupational Health and Safety Regulation and B&B Contracting Health and Safety Program.
The Company will conduct programs of education and instruction in safe work practices and methods in order to promote the health and safety of the workforce – programs in which all employees will participate. The Company will ensure that a safe and healthy work environment is maintained at all company work sites.
B&B Contracting will aggressively pursue the attainment of a safe and healthy workplace for all employees and others working on our job sites and will strive to set an example for our industry.
